Good morning. The goal of the anti-vaccine movement is not “medical freedom.” That’s just a lie. They literally want to ban vaccines. RFK Jr & allies have filed legal requests for the government to take shots for Covid, polio, and hepatitis B off the market so you have no choice.

“By explicitly setting aside questions of cultural inclusion, the recommendations seemed less about making America healthy again, and more about quietly reasserting what kinds of food count as real.”

“While there are many “shining lights” in Danish health care, the country’s approach to immunization is not one of them.”

I treated children for rotavirus in Denmark. The Danish vaccine schedule is no model for the U.S.
In Denmark, pediatrician Michael Thwing once saw nearly 20 infants admitted simultaneously with rotavirus. His experience in the U.S. has been completely different.

Far be it from me to question RFK Jr and his friends at the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association, but I still don’t think that the evidence shows eating a lot of beef is good for you.

“Peter Duesberg was not “wrong” about HIV and AIDS, he was politically incorrect about it”

That’s just the tip of the iceberg of RFK Jr’s praise of the notorious AIDS denialist who died this week.

Kennedy himself doesn’t think HIV causes AIDS. Our NIH Director called this view“eccentric.”

What's especially funny is this researcher has a podcast for the public that debates vaccine controversies. Why isn't she leaving this to the scientific literature?

I've seen this so many times: No one hates free speech more than a senior academic who is facing criticism.

You don't get to decide where criticism appears. Newspapers, blogs, twitter, all fine in their own ways.

Every scandal isn't a media scandal.

My latest story
RFK Jr. has talked about a war on sugar and a war on protein, a war on peptides and a war on vitamins. Benjamin Mazer writes about what happens when the “warrior ethos” comes to public health: theatln.tc/eWWttupM

America’s Real ‘Secretary of War’

As Kennedy and his aides press their case in public, they adopt a persistently antagonistic tone not only toward disease but also toward the medical and scientific establishment.

The old dietary guidelines emphasized moderation and balance.

The new guidelines recommend developing an eating disorder so you can be like RFK Jr.

My New Year’s resolution is to finally gain the ability to think for myself and advocate for what I feel is in the best interest of the public.

According to our healthcare leaders and internet trolls (same thing), I’ve just been a mindless, unfeeling Pharma shill.
