This is not what they actually say. This is what they used to say, in the long ago before times when Shaheen learned to do politics. There is no kumbaya median voter anymore. The question you get knocking doors is not "why can't you all just work together?" it's "why didn't / will you fight harder?
Shaheen: "When I talk to my constituents in New Hampshire, you know what they say to me? They say, 'Why can't you all just work together to address the problems that are facing this country?'"

How about we shut down the government for this very popular and specific goal and then, hear me out, we hold out for like a month and a half and then, ok this part is important, after a watershed election where we ran the table, ONLY THEN, fold and don't get the one thing we said we wanted.

So glad this was defeated but genuinely astonished at how decisively it was crushed!

I don’t know how many times I’ve watched this video.

I don’t know how we’ve gotten to the point where men in full balaclavas can abduct daycare teachers while they’re watching children.

But I do know that this isn’t sustainable. Abolish ICE. There is no way to reform this.

I love this whole thread. Gotta get planning!
Annual early November reminder that if you want magical-feeling holidays you have to start putting the work in now. Sorry, you're the adult now, it's up to you.
I'm trying to be less cynical but social media is trying me by putting posts "why don't the holidays feel as special as when I was a kid" into my feed. Hi, yes, it's because you're an adult now and no one is doing all the extra holiday labor for you while you just enjoy the benefits.

@neguse.house.gov gives a lesson on how to reframe a journalist’s stupid question about #SNAP! 💪🏼
