Job interviewer: So why are you deeply passionate about working with us?

Me: You need to secure servers, networks, and firewalls. I need to eat. Deal?

I have been staying at a house that appreciates “luxury” more than I ever will, and I cannot wait to return to my rough terrycloth towels and regular cotton bedsheets.

Whenever someone replies, 'Actually, this is a very nuanced topic' to a tech query, you're either about to witness a TED Talk-worthy discourse or a dumpster fire of epic proportions. I speak from experience.

Had to explain to a relative why we don’t fuck with NYT cooking recipes in this house.

Yes it’s because of the peas in guacamole recipe.

What are some open source projects that everyone that uses Linux should check out?

For me it is QEMU to play with virtual machines. If nothing else it gives you the ability to try applications you might not trust or just a different OS that you might find that you love.

Okay, real talk. Refrigerators should tell you when the freezer defrost heater breaks. You shouldn't just notice water in your fridge. Also why are there no diagnostic codes? We know how to do all of this, but I guess keeping repair people employed is too important :(.

After moving to Linux Mint and having very few issues, except ones of me trying to do too much like an Arch user, I honestly am confused why people try to make the case that Linux is too hard for gamers. Most games, excluding a handful with anti-cheat, just work. I've been playing WoW without issue.
