1. A landmark study was just published in The Journal of Pediatrics.
It found a 68% reduction in suicidality for trans youth getting HRT.
It also found only 7 of more than 400 stopped taking HRT... and of those that did, 4 still identified as gender-diverse.

The groundbreaking study found that suicidality dropped for transgender youth receiving hormone therapy by nearly 70%, with only 7 patients of 432 discontinuing treatment.

Home education; learning with your child. Grandson's subjects of choice are very different to mine but I find myself increasingly able to answer questions about complex scientific points which he has learnt but I never did. That is how home education can work. #EducationOtherwise

Home educating children is often about learning things yourself. it does not require genius to educate, it requires love, commitment and enthusiasm. Any adult who can read (or listen to) and assimilate information can educate. I know. I am that woman.

In other #HomeEducation news, the Scottish Government has updated their guidance and it’s a lot better than what is proposed in England in the Children’s Wellbeing & Schools Bill. It encourages a much healthier relationship between councils and families and home visits are not compulsory.

This is why the state & local authority shouldn't be trusted with #sensitive #data & the #homeeducation community should be fighting against the #ChildrensWellbeingbill which aims to collect more, stamping each child with a #unique identifying number to share with anyone they feel fit to do so
