Ratings can vary hugely from one country to another. And can vary from episode to episode.

Once you have some ND in the mix, there is likely to be other things in play.
I would be considering specific learning difficulties - dyslexia, and visual processing disorder.
And underlying vision issues such as Irlens/visual stress.

Ignore the teacher. They obviously don't understand neourodivergence and SEN.
Audiobooks are reading. Graphic novels are reading.

They can also be key access routes to conventional books for neurodivergent people.
