Tomorrow, the Trump admin economic team will resume their daily ritual of insisting to the American people that the economic pain they are experiencing is either not happening or is Biden’s fault.

CNN's shite. Has been for some time. And the rest of US 'Left' MSM isn't much better.

Yeah.
We ALL wonder.
Great urgency in reviewing Epstein files. Then silence for three months. Then the July 6 “nothing to see here” memo.

Wonder what they found that led to panicked silence then attempted cover up?
The docs also reveal the number of hours the FBI devoted to the project, which required some agents to work nights and weekends. The FBI paid personnel $851,344 in overtime for working on the Epstein files between March 17 and March 22.

Instead of just releasing the Epstein files, Trump ordered the DOJ to investigate Democrats and AG Pam Bondi is complying.

Are they setting up a pretext to block the release by arguing the files are now part of an active investigation? I’m not saying that would work, but he’s desperate to block.

They say:

We can’t just be AGAINST, we have to be FOR something.

We can’t just DENOUNCE people.

We have to stress KITCHEN TABLE issues.

I say:

I’m AGAINST Trump.

I DENOUNCE Epstein and his enablers.

My KITCHEN TABLE issue is authoritarianism.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Ah, yes : the US' good ol' "Forth Estate" ... always on-the-ball...

' ... the press is considered the Fourth Estate, a term that signifies its role as a crucial check on the legislature, the executive, and the judiciary. It acts as a watchdog by informing the public, holding power accountable...

The Founders tried to construct a government that featured all kinds of guardrails to protect liberty. They didn’t want to count too much on uncommon courage or wisdom from the people. And yet that's what it's coming down to.

I saw that. I'll bet uou did too. It goes beyond anti-Constitutional into insane and - vile.

What I'd like to know is:

How are we supposed to 'find common ground for the good of the US' with this large trove of propagandists, hypocrites and - deliberate outright liars?

...
The shameless GOP lying about the No Kings gatherings scheduled for next Saturday reveals how deeply hostile much of the Republican Party is to “the right of the people peaceably to assemble.” I look forward to our local No Kings event, and urge my fellow Americans to attend in their communities.

I always appreciate Mr Stevens' insights.
'... Republicans are better at messaging, but it’s a false standard. It’s easy to stage a successful concert for an audience that likes the same kind of music. It’s much more difficult to do the same for a crowd that enjoys very different types of music.'
Something happened in the Republican Party. Over decades we developed a system that rewarded compliance and punished independence. It was like a genetic experiment in how to cultivate a party of subservient elected officials.

We already KNOW they're insecure and self-loathing (a Stuart Stevens term) ... which is WHY they have to counter-compensate as 'Alpha'.

They really should seek therapy ... But that's 'science': Alphas don't DO science.

And we all have to suffer.
The self labeled “alpha males” are really just loudly covering up the fact that they feel small and insignificant.

They don't need facts.
Facts just get in the way.
This is what the weaponization of prosecutors' offices looks like under an authoritarian regime. Facts - even the very most important one - do not matter.

All that matters to them is if you oppose the authoritarian reign.
Former FBI Deputy Director McCabe says he hasn't been contacted "at all" by the FBI about Comey and adds, "if my interactions with Comey was gonna be the basis of this entire prosecution, it's unbelievable that prosecutors wouldn't at least want to sit down and hear what I have to say about it."
