Look at this graph.

The share of national income going to the richest 10 percent was lowest (and share to lower 90 percent highest) when union membership was at its highest. As unions have weakened, inequality has widened.

This is why we must build back union power.

Remember Cory Booker's marathon speech? If you want to read the whole thing, or extract golden nuggets, it's available through the Congressional Record. It starts on page 52 of pt 1 for March 31 www.congress.gov/119/crec/202... and goes through page 124 of pt 2 www.congress.gov/119/crec/202...

Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE) has a bill to return tariff authority to Congress. If it were to pass, the purposeless tariffs would end. Speaker Johnson is blocking it. Call your member of Congress, R or D, & urge a discharge petition on the bill, which forces a vote.

Remember that "I'd like to teach the world to sing" Coke commercial? I think that's what alot of people think a protest looks/feels like. I have some footage from 2014 I'd like to show them.
Reviewing a protest like you're on Yelp. Bringing your apparently very small child to a protest against the United States government. "More singing"?! Jfc

Five years ago, I was waking up to my first day of remote work, which was meant to be a beta test with just some of the organization but ended up being a thing that lasted a long, long time.

Still valuing my hybrid schedule today.

1. Major news in transgender care.

Germany, Switzerland, and Austria have just released their trans youth care guidelines.

They strongly recommend trans youth care and slam the
Cass Review in England.

Europe is not "pulling back" on trans care.

The recommendations, released by the Association of the Scientific Medical Societies in Germany, come at a time when US politicians erroneously claim that Europe is "pulling back" on transgender care.

Ian Fleming's original James Bond novels haven't aged well. For example, Moonraker - published almost exactly 70 years ago in April 1955 - features a villain who's a super-rich industrialist and rocket-maker seeking to cause chaos because he's a secret Nazi. Such a silly idea!
