everyone has 1 more year until i lose my tact and say “ya that’s probably covid” or “covid never ended” literally every single time it would make sense in conversation. that’s not how you get folks to change their behaviors but, i’ve been doing the research-based approach for 5 years. i’m tired.

There’s a historic indoor clean air high level event at the UN today.

@drbronking.bsky.social is of course leading by example wearing a high quality mask while chairing the meeting 👏👏👏

I know antifa isn't a real organization because I don't get 40 texts a week from them asking for donations.

its kind of insane that we’ve been forced to watch rightwingers openly celebrate and taunt everyone over the death of people like trayvon martin for over a decade now and now they’re trying to grandstand over the one time it’s personally affected them and political project

all the best windows software in history is called something like "joe's thing doer". it does the thing and nothing else and is available on a html website in plain text and takes up under a megabyte of space and uses default windows ui elements and will work until the heat death of the universe

This, but "often" for me
Sometimes, you don’t argue with someone to change their mind, you argue with someone to give information to all the people in the room who are watching and still have an open mind about things.

Long covid is the most common disease in children now, more common than asthma. Reduce their chances of an infection developing into long covid by 62% with this one weird trick...

Everyone should know about jury nullification!

A jury has an absolute right to return any verdict it chooses. You can return a verdict of NOT GUILTY if you consider a law, punishment, or prosecutor unjust.

Mind you, if you mention this during selection, you may not end up on a jury.

Pass it on!

This is how you do it!

Any Long Covid event should have mandatory respirators and clean air.

No one should get sick (or sicker) while trying to raise awareness about this disabling condition.

Thank you to everyone in attendance for leading by example and masking up!
We’re at the @keystonesymposia.bsky.social on Long COVID and related IACCs!

The conference is in Santa Fe, New Mexico and features talks, posters, and workshops from leading researchers 😷🏜️😷

And absolutely no AI
While we’re still figuring out life on Earth, Voyager 1 is 15 billion miles away, cruising on 69KB, an 8-track, and 1977s Fortran like it’s nothing.

It's really important to understand that if an elected official invites you to consider a country's finances as somehow analogous to household finances (a la Thatcher), they are *lying* to you and you should treat with scepticism *everything else* that ever comes out of their mouth.

Is the pandemic over? No, there's more covid around than before, and while the shots prevent death up front, they don't prevent long term damage.
