ICE and CBP agents are out of control and put everyone in danger.

We're calling for ICE agents to withdraw from Minneapolis, and for Congress to rein in ICE’s abuses in our communities.

People want to have their basic needs met.

They want to be paid a living wage.

They want to stop being nickle and dimed by powerful corporations who control so much of our lives.

They do not want Venezuela.

They do not want Greenland.

They do not want masked thugs terrorizing our communities.

Canada is grateful we have a Prime Minister who can eloquently put Trump in his place. We're going to remain strong and free.

We'll be grateful when the United States addresses the chaos they've unleashed.
Trump: "Canada gets a lot of freebies from us. They should be grateful but they're not. He watched your prime minister yesterday. He wasn't so grateful. But they should be grateful to us. Canada. Canada lives because of the United States. Remember that, Mark, next time you make your statements"

La Mantia didn't call for the Region of Waterloo to be transparent about the Wilmot landgrab. Doing it now is hypocritical.

[La Mantia] "called on the region to be transparent. “We need process clarity,” said La Mantia.

Partisans are bananas. If you can't critique an elected official it's tribal and the worst kind of political landscape. I get these Liberal partisans in the mentions too and they're like bots.
Always weird that strangers will yell insults at me for posting something even *mildly* skeptical or even neutral about Mark Carney. I get that people have a lot of emotions and hopes invested in him right now but friends, he's the prime minister, not God.

Mark Carney may have delivered quite the speech, but neither he, the EU, or NATO have done a damn thing to make Trump's plans to acquire Greenland more costly or less likely. The longer we wait, the harder he will be to stop.

German Jews were citizens of Germany at the start of 1933. By the end of 1933, the Nazis had
removed citizenship from naturalized citizen Jews.

In 1935, all German Jews were fully stripped of their German citizenship.

Citizenship under dictatorships is contingent for targeted minorities.

Which suggests that we need to use our Waterloo Region ingenuity to get serious about making better use of water such as maximizing use of grey water and diverting rain water so it soaks into the ground. We've done the easy conservation but not we need to get serious.
Staff: After years where water conservation and
efficiency efforts outpaced the rate of population growth and we experienced declining overall demands, we are seeing
a transition... The rate of growth is now outpacing the declining trends and overall water usage is increasing.

Our two largest parties are 1) actively cheering illegal kidnapping of a president and 2) acting like a kicked dog in the face of US aggression.

It’s pathetic cowardice, not leadership.

And this cowardice puts our country at risk.

We need actual options in the next election.
