Two billion kids would REALLY appreciate it if we did more about this than just make a few non-binding promises every year & then instantly forget about them.

Another year, another Welsh town devastated by flooding.

We're tragically unprepared for the dramatic changes to our #climate & urgently need to invest in adaptation.

The longer we continue to burn fossil fuels the worse the impacts will become.

When it comes to my soapbox, I generally preach big picture. Like, you know, the end of Earth's livability and humanity's survival. But what about how every morning I have one square of dark chocolate? Or how people like my hubs would die if he didn't have coffee every day?

We're all peeing in the same pool here, folks. We need global unified effort to decrease emissions and save what's left of Earth's natural processes.

It's wild to think that anyone of consequence (the billionaire$) actually care about this. Our planet will die during my very young daughter's lifetime because of greed. Follow @allouryesterdays.bsky.social to deep dive into climate change history and see how $$$ will end up killing us all.

My daughter will have a shorter lifetime because of greed.
Attribution science allows us to link climate impacts to fossil fuel companies. In response, the industry and Republicans are trying to stop climate liability laws and lawsuits, and seek legal immunity like gun manufacturers got two decades ago. You don't do that unless you're guilty.

This report creates feelings that I am unencumbered by the stress of having to find the right recycler for every single goddam item that I use. I'm not going to stop, but I'm sick of being a regular citizen who is burdened w/so-called solutions. When I'm a multibillionaire, then I'll "fix it".

The bleak report is only outdone by the bleak fact that this bleak article talks about 1.5° C as if it was still attainable. 1.5° C is dead.

And so-called ‘centrist’ politicians would rather we slide into fascism & authoritarianism than rebuild our world to give us a chance of surviving where we’re heading - because survival would mean dismantling the corporations that own these ‘centrist’ politicians.

The amount of CO2 in the atmosphere increased by a record amount last year, says @wmo-global.bsky.social.

The record annual rise comes amid growing signs that forests, peatlands, oceans and other natural "sinks" are failing to absorb as much CO2 as they normally do.

If you breathe oxygen and drink water, climate stability should be the ONLY matter of concern.
Not to diminish other matters of concern, but Trump’s attack on clean energy jeopardizes the ocean species that produces half the world’s oxygen and is the base of the food chain. What could go wrong? Warming seas threaten key phytoplankton species.
