the current neighborhood gossip is focused on the guy building a garage, which first involves building a foundation.

we are all suddenly experts on this topic, and taking bets as to whether or not it passes inspection (my bet is an emphatic 'absolutely not').

spent two full days in the sunshine, getting garden beds sorted. I'm never going back to school full-time again, this kind of free time is ✨amazing✨

A lone sleigh and reindeer travel through the endless Northern winter night. Gorgeous print by indigenous Sami artist Britta Marakatt-Labba. The traveller is watched over by 3 Sami goddesses (right) whose red horned headdresses had them 'banned' by Christian Swedes. Modern Sami are reclaiming them.

MSNBC reported Schumer's office felt that the longer that shutdown went on, the more likely it was that people would start to blame the Dems.

My kingdom for Democrats that don't govern out of fear. I've said it before and I'll say it again: The American people are far braver than their reps.

You can leave a voicemail at your senators' offices right now or text the word "resist" to 50409 & it will talk you through how to write them quickly & easily via text. Do not let them give in on this. Please call or write & tell them to hold the line & protect our healthcare.
Oh for the love of

Sharing, since I just googled these so I could leave angry voicemails telling these motherfuckers to hold the line

Schumer's DC office number: 202-224-6542

Gillibrand's DC office number: (202) 224-4451
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

the only advice I'll give to people about how to "make it" is that you need something to show people if the opportunity comes. it doesn't matter if no one on social media saw it; that's still your body of work and it's a way better portfolio than just saying "I want to someday"
