The reason I now believe ICE should be abolished is not that I don't think we need some kind of agency to deal with immigration and customs, but rather that this particular agency has so soiled its reputation and is operating so far out of bounds in a democracy that the only solution is to end it.

There is no damn reason for these guys to be dressed like they are going to the front lines in Ukraine.
One very good thing we could do for democracy is to end the militarization of police. There ought to be very few specific instances where this kind of gear is justified. Should not be the norm.
