So I did it. I finally got tired of Microsoft's bullshit and jumped ship to Linux. After a few false starts, I finally landed on Nobara since everything just kind of *worked* out of the box, with minimal fiddling. I kind of miss Gamepass, though. I hadn't finished Clair Obscure or Metaphor. Ah, well

Don't forget that Zohran Mamdani spent his entire campaign standing proudly beside the trans community. He went to trans rights rallies just to show support. He proudly waved trans rights flags without hesitation. He refused to back down in support of trans rights. That makes me happy.

I went to see my parents today, and this was the first time they had seen the biohazard tattoo. I didn't have to do much explaining to them about what it meant, especially after I told them that if they didn't wash their hands around me, they might contract a fatal case of gender.

As much hate as Ozempic gets, I've lost literally 100 pounds while on it, my A1Cs are at normal levels, and I've come off insulin. For me, it's a miracle drug. Except for the hiccoughs. I get hiccoughs *all the time* now. Worth it, though.

This is 100% true. Audiobooks are costly to make, especially when you hire unionized narrators as we do. But the royalty regime of the stores we sell through is ABYSMAL. The subscription services for audiobooks pay out practically nothing!

Folks, if you love audiobooks, if you want creators to be able to keep MAKING audiobooks, you're going to have to start... paying for audiobooks. Not subscriptions. Audiobooks themselves. Because Amazon are absolutely intent on paying creators even less.
