I'm getting real tired of this growing respect for Marco Rubio I didn't consent to because he's running around looking like the informed and competent adult in the room purely by contrast.

I find it wildly watchable lol. I can sleep to it but I can't clean to it, you know what I mean?

It's yet another one of those things in my life where like "I'm not actually autistic but I understand why you might be thinking that"

Is it possible we could get Finland mad about this? Based entirely on vibes I'm pretty sure a team of 12 Finnish special ops with, like, some badass headsets or something could put the entire us military in their place if they wanted to.

Next its going to be something about "only 300 characters", mark my words. That's neither a bit nor a criticism, I'm quite sincere that will hit the list.

I suspect it's either more hate for millennialspeak or it might be the vanguard for hate of genZspeak, honestly.

No, he's totally right, art is not and has never been political, it's just gay shit for dumb gay babies obviously

I don't have many comfort shows, but How It's Made is one of them.

I showed this to my wife and she correctly pointed out that we had that at home and with a bonus present participle.

I mean we would love to have you but now isn't really a good time?

You forgot Japan sending it's fleet down to blow up South Korea.

As your resident local AI hater, allow me to present an excellent example of how small, local LLMs that you train yourself can be leveraged for specific tasks and improve accessibility for yourself and others.

Very satisfying except for that missing volume 1 that I can't unser

Uhhh... Sprained my knee sleeping once, I guess
What's the most ridiculous way you ever hurt yourself? I got out of the tub, skidded in water and tripped over the toilet. Ankle sprain.

😅

It's not a particularly exciting pen/nib combo but this pen handles the gloopiest, weirdest most difficult inks I can find with grace and dignity. If I only get one, I'm taking the pen that stands up to my bullshit.

Ooh. Pilot custom 92 broad and life airmail (I think it may be renamed Yamamoto typewriter paper but I'm not 100% certain) which I hope can come in other sizes besides the b5 letter tablet since it's forever.

Public education in the US started primarily to train up the administrative class of office workers to handle the birth of modern business and finance and shit. Penmanship was taught as a core competency because it was a central work skill.

You're correct, and also it's worse than that, it's capitalism! The writing we think of as cursive is based on American Business Hand, a massive innovation of the first business schools in the US and was partially responsible for US dominance of the industrial revolution.
