New laptop: goes super fast, sounds like a jet engine. I am happy, I just wish I didn't have to buy a gamer laptop chassis. The RGB lights are cool and all, but I genuinely would have preferred to cram this massive cosmic power into a Thinkpad.

Hot programming take for today: strictly enforcing an 80 column limit on code does not improve readability in all cases. I know it's a personal preference thing but I really don't find the example on the right to be an improvement over the example on the left.

Last week I was looking on Etsy for some titanium nibs to play with, because you can get titanium ultraflex nibs with a feed and (usually) jowo housing for a fairly reasonable price if you dig. Instead, I dig up an art dealer who was selling an Omas Emotica for a very good price.
