There’s a persistent myth that new solar farms don’t really help tackle climate change because panels are “made with coal” and “never pay back” their carbon debt.

This is simply false.

- UN: solar ~8x cleaner than gas, ~19x than coal per kWh
- panels repay CO2 in 4 months; save 57x over life

Stop using WeTransfer.

I'm all for trying to ease intergenerational tensions, but the people who are most opposed to reaching net zero by 2050 are literally those who will not be around to face the consequences.

Lovely people of Oxford/Eynsham etc. for the last 6 months ago I have been plotting and working with a group of lovely people to put on a play.

Twelfth Night opens on Monday at Oxford Castle and runs for two weeks. I think it’s something really special, made by local people. Won’t you come along?

Mr Williams has owned a second home in the area for for 20 years... they had had little interest from potential buyers, despite dropping the price by £40,000.

Let's ask the fun question, how much did you buy it for and how much are you trying to sell it for?

Liz Truss called solar farms a “blight on the landscape”, but researchers have found they are actually better for birds than farmland

Solar farms in East Anglia had greater bird diversity & bird abundance than nearby arable land, a study finds

And yet the solar NIMBYs keep a sky why we need to do grid scale solar? And why near them?
Government is right to say electricity market reform, planning reforms, and CfD auctions can close this gap, but equally Cornwall Insight is right to highlight the scale of the current clean power shortfall. www.businessgreen.com/news/4402499...
Study: UK forecast to miss 2030 wind and solar goals by 32GW
But government says it does not recognise figures from Cornwall Insight that suggest UK is on course to miss 2030 clean power goal

1. ChatGPT is bullshitting you.

2. Yes, more than you already think.

3. Yes, it’s getting worse, not better.

4. Only a fool willingly adds more bullshit to their life.

5. Don’t be a fool.

Carry On is a bad, dumb film. Films do not need to be clever to be good, but this as an incredibly stupid plot masquerading as a clever thriller. Also just wrong, wrong about many things in a plot altering way. I wish this was a better film, but it is not.
