This angered me even at the time. I was still at the NHS then, as was another housemate, and inevitably Covid came into our home multiple times, early, before tests were available. We'd enough exposure to anecdotally attribute then-unlisted symptoms to Covid but thousands of people did not, and died
The Government delayed adding loss of smell & taste to the list of symptoms because data "came from an app"

Solidarity between public sector workers is strong; workers in e.g. education or healthcare want the public sector to rise together. The govt knows every public sector worker is vital; this is divide and rule; coordinated industrial action is the only way forward

As pension age climbs, life expectancy stagnates. It's a real danger that entire adulthoods are given to work with no opportunity to chill after a life grafting. Everyone deserves to finish work in good personal and financial health, to enjoy a decent retirement

As pension age climbs, life expectancy stagnates. It's a real danger that entire adulthoods are given to work with no opportunity to chill after a life grafting. Everyone deserves to finish work in good personal and financial health, to enjoy a decent retirement
