I imagine I'll be a mess for a while. A functional mess, but a weepy one. I'll wake up in the middle of the night thinking I feel her weight. I'll spot her shadow around corners and hear her purring in my dreams. All the things she left behind are so precious, and I see her ghost in all of them.

I'm afraid I have sad news, my cat Andee has cancer. Due to where it is and how it's progressed, there is little hope she'll pull through. We're starting palliative care to make her comfortable while she still seems to be herself, but I'll have to make the call sooner than later. I'm sorry honey.
