Sellaisilla asioilla lähdin vain soittelemaan, että "urheilutermein"? Ei kaikki voi olla urheilutermejä vaikka urheiluselostajat käyttääkin mitä typerämpiä kielikuvia.

Sad news today. An older colleague and mentor has passed away. He helped me more than he probably knew, both in my research and beyond. I will always remember him as an inspiring scholar and kind human being. And now I will forever owe him a coffee.

Please. This is absurd. Europe can certainly deter Russia and defend itself if its focused and determined. Perpetuating a sense of European helplessness may help Rutte bureaucratically but its 1. wrong 2. prevents action. 3. willfully blind: the US ain't coming to defend Europe.
