i think the big problem is a lot of left leaning people telling these kids to stop whining, instead of realizing they *aren't* set up for success - not because they're straight white men, which is why they think, but because nobody young is set up for success right now bsky.app/profile/did:...
I spend a lot of time around sports, fitness, and gaming, and it's pretty obvious that young men of all stripes are not well - a toxic combination of entitlement, status anxiety, and a more-or-less justified belief that they're not set up for success. You don't have to sympathize, but it's real.
