One of the most disappointing things about only starting cycling in 2025 is finding out that John Forester died of “flu complications” in April of 2020 and I just missed being able to celebrate that.

One upsetting thing about yesterday is that we’ll never hear the word cuomosexual used non pejoratively again probably.

@aoc.bsky.social says of Mamdani victory: "A lot of people...are willing to talk about party unity when it serves them, but not party unity when it serves everybody."

What an absolutely incredible piece of news to wake up to.

If you’re worried about lacking energy on this fantastic Friday morning; here’s a little tale from my pal to really get your blood pumping.
A man. A rant in 12 parts. This week has been rough. In less than 5 days, I’ve had three incidents involving men and I want to share them with you. 1/12 @ianmccausland.bsky.social

i think if you ride public transit enough you learn that most weird behavior is not dangerous, and conversely i think driving a car teaches you that everyone is trying to kill you at all times

One way to tell if someone really means it when they have a T&R sticker in the back window is by asking them to drive a little bit slower.

Yes. @emmaewood.bsky.social did a wildly brave thing in sticking her neck out for all of us, putting herself forward in this climate of vitriol and reaction, and proved that the good person *can* win, and commandingly so. It is worth it to run. (1/)
MY HOPE: that @emmaewood.bsky.social winning while running a positive campaign that had an actual platform gives hope to anyone, but particularly any WOMAN thinking of running next year in #winnipeg

What if they’re not really building a new ball room but a control centre and panic rooms because they know what’s coming?

Also bonkers to think she was “hit by the police vehicle” and not the person operating the vehicle. Imagine a headline “man dies after being shot by police gun”

So sick of media using passive voice for not only cops, but drivers.

These are machines and you’re responsible for operating them safely.

I may not be super smart, or even in charge of Lucerne; but if my opinion could ever be worth anything, I just say I would just leave the pumping machine set on “eggnog” cause it tastes way better tbh.

Honestly you do have to admit; it is kind of funny that they must’ve been so happy when they thought they quashed the supervised consumption site only to see the government decide to build the SuperDuper Hypermax DrunkTank 3000 (now with 3x extra duration) there instead.

So cool that the reason we can’t have supervised consumption is because we need somewhere to put the cages
