I understand framing the AI bubble RAM supply crisis in terms of stuff like video game consoles because nerds can conceptualize that but the framing does really undersell the sheer magnitude of how it's going to fuck up everything that even touches a computer.

Even if a fraction of the hype for AI was real (it's not), affordable consumer computing is far and away the better good for everyone. I really don't want to backslide into computers being an extreme luxury again.

#casual a good part of having enriched my inner standards with diversity of body types and genders is that now that I'm experimenting with gender I'm having way less discomfort with the traditional gender mismatch we tend to have internalized to ourselves than I thought. I'm quite enjoying this
