It's utterly insane, but statistically probably unsurprising, that there was more than one Brown student who had previously experienced a mass school shooting, including one who was actually shot, @miatretta.bsky.social.

It doesn't have to be this way.
We sadly know Zoe Weissman because of Parkland. In fact, our families are so close, that she has been there for my wife and I after Parkland and helped with our foundation Orange Ribbons For Jaime.

America, are you ok with this?

This is why we need to pay attention to red states: if not for MS, we would have reproductive care. If not for MO, we would have student loan forgiveness. Hypocrisy! Farmers will get $12B after Trump trade war pain. Because of Trump, they're using our tax dollars to pay for it.

I’ve seen two kids post that the Brown University shooting is the second school shooting they’ve survived.

This should enrage and radicalize everyone.

Kids shouldn’t have to survive one shooting, let alone two.

No more thoughts and prayers.

It’s time to address the guns.

This 20 year old citizen, Mobashir was tackled, brutalized & abducted by #ICE.

"I felt like I was getting assaulted. I was getting kidnapped. And that’s exactly what it was,” he said.

He poses this question: If this #ICELawlessness is happening on camera, what's happening off camera?

When have we become just like the soviets? Sickening.
Bovino, the man overseeing mass deportations, publicly declared that we must all have our papers on us, at all times, or we could be stopped, harassed, kidnapped, and detained, as they did with the man in this case, who is a US citizen.

That this week’s Pluribus involves a man seeking to save the world by traveling to the US through the Darien Gap is really quite a momentous creative choice at this moment.

A Latino man traveling through the most dangerous asylum migration path to America to save humanity— that’s a statement.

Everything Trump touches is transactional.
We now learn that Fifa had a very specific "ask" in exchange for its "Peace Award" to Trump, with loads of gold trinkets, and that was dismissal of a criminal corruption case against senior Fifa officials. And Trump granted it. Another corrupt bargain, barely noticed (and ignored by US media).
