This monkey slug caterpillar (Phobetron sp.) from Ecuador has evolved to look like a discarded tarantula molt. This one mimics the tarantula Avicularia juruensis (see my previous post) so accurately, down to the pink toes and yellow bands! The hairs cause skin irritation, just like Avicularia hairs.

The holotype of Maurymontia mborore, a new genus and species of Triaenonychidae recently described by my friends and colleagues Williams Porto and Abel Pérez-González. From Misiones, Argentina. We found a single male in a rocky area within the subtropical woodlands by sifting litter.

Did you know why it’s worth using hashtags on here? It’s a super fast way to sort and find posts. You can add them to your bio and if you long press on one you can then get the option to view all the posts from someone when they use it. My ref posts has that and you can see all of them easer.

「結局、俺たちはXから、にげられないんだっ…」とかXで一生言ってる人もいるそうだが、逆になんでそんな世界（クソデカ概念）の不変性に対する信頼が厚すぎるんだろう、と不思議に思う。Twitterとか別にここ10年程度で少し流行ったぽっと出サービスだし、全部改悪札束ナチスマンのせいで（科学者とか）知的だったりクリエイティブな面白い人もだいぶ流出しちゃったし、そもそもマイクロブログサービス自体が時代の徒花にすぎなかった可能性もあるし、今後もう全然どうなるかわかんないでしょ普通に

エディアカラ生物群を陸生の地衣類として解釈することで名が知れているRetallack氏、まぁ論文の内容はさておき参考文献を見ると自著論文がなんと37個もある（Retallack氏一人で書いた論文に絞っても27）

エディアカラ生物群を陸生の地衣類として解釈することで名が知れているRetallack氏、まぁ論文の内容はさておき参考文献を見ると自著論文がなんと37個もある（Retallack氏一人で書いた論文に絞っても27）

She’s a type of Bird Dropping spider and her camouflage is astonishing! She was protecting two unusual looking egg sacs.
