YES!!! The narrative that some minuscule number of people abducted have criminal records feeds the notion that SS ICE would be justified if they were getting the "right" targets. It also risks feeding the story that there are millions of dangerous undocumented folks, ICE is just not finding them.
It wouldn't be okay if Trump and ICE were doing this shit to "criminals" either.
You don't lose your humanity because you did something that society decided was proscribed, particularly given that a majority of those things are entirely arbitrary. Most crimes are poverty driven, not violent.
