Anyone else getting this? My Samsung tablet keeps wanting to put the BBC News app into deep sleep because it claims it's frequently crashing yet I've not had problems with it.

This makes no sense…

An MP can wake up one morning, ditch the party you elected them for, & sign up to a completely different manifesto…

No thanks

If they defect to a different party, we should get a vote

Sign the petition & help make that law.

One of the most popular and crowd-pleasing arias in classical opera, "Perché non c'è cibo nella mia ciotola, donna?" tells an emotional tale of a desperately malnourished waif and translates into English as "Why Is There No Food In My Bowl, Woman?"

Dog walk surprise this morning. Saw an otter cross the track in front of us, go into a small ditch then via a culvert into a drainage dyke, which it thoroughly explored. Think it found a freshwater mussel. Never seen one in 33yrs living of in the Suffolk Fens. @suffolkwildlife.bsky.social #animals

Badenoch doesn't seem to care how stupid the things she says are as long as it opposes whatever Labour wants to do. Stopping kids seeing porn doesn't stop perverted adults creating, distributing distributing and viewing child porn.

We want a bookcase but want to see the quality and check measurements so I Googled local furniture outlets and found it includes online stores as "local". It even included one whose website claims it's a "furniture outlet" in Ely but is 203mi away in Bolton.

A highly controversial and likely unethical vaccine study funded by the US begins in Guinea-Bissau. This single-blind, study won a noncompete grant to investigate hep B vaccinations. Why are they doing it there? Because it wouldn't pass an IRB panel in the US. healthpolicy-watch.news/controversia...

We've even had snow in the Suffolk Fens today, which is uncommon enough but what's more unusual is it hasn't melted at all. It was still 0.4 degrees below freezing at midday. The field pictured is at sea level so @metoffice.gov.uk were right to predict snow at low levels.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has stated that the 1918 flu pandemic was caused by a lab virus from vaccine research, a defective influenza vaccine. Let’s analyze what a lie this is. First, in 1918, 107 years ago, virology was in its infancy

We have a Chinese water deer who's decided we can't see him if he lays down, even though he's only 10m from the kitchen window. They're not very bright: I've seen one run away from a dog only to lay down on a bare ploughed field as if it would become invisible.

NHS England say this is a Boots-specific problem and there is no national shortage for other suppliers. So if you need / want a flu vaccine, advice is to keep trying and ask / shop around.
Just turned up for my flu vaccine at Boots to be told there is a national shortage and they’ve run out.

Very happy to wait until more vulnerable people have had theirs first, but bit concerning when public health messaging is to be vigilant for a bad flu wave this year.

I'm guessing @trishgreenhalgh.bsky.social that washing your hands is no more effective at controlling the spread of flu than it was for Covid.
