Should you venture to X yoday, don't bother looking at the responses to any BBC News post. They are full of the "defund the BBC" mob and Maga/Muskbots ranting about nothing to do with the story. Many are claiming to be Americans with remarkably few posts or followers.

Nowhere in the hysterical pile-on against the BBC in the British press has anyone mentioned that BBC News now has 77 million viewers & listeners in the US and has established itself as the second most trusted news source there.

Wondering why no one likes your posts anymore, even among your friends? It's because @jay.bsky.team and team have decided to hide a huge amount of content from all of our feeds by default.

Here's how to turn it off.

First the likes of Farage said we needed to leave the EU. Now they’re coming for the ECHR.

Paul Kohler MP: "It feels like Brexit déjà vu with the same hollow promises of taking back control, the same disregard for facts, the same blindness to consequence."

Why are manuals for any tech so crap? Was going to return a new radio alarm because the menu button didn't work. Fiddling with it I've found that while all other settings, like the alarms, are with it on standby the manual makes no mention that the radio must be playing for the menu button to work.

If you're sick of energy suppliers making it difficult to sort things out, try @octopus.energy. We went to them after Shell's incompetent customer service took a year to replace a faulty meter through not passing info to the right depts or answering emails. Octopus was much easier from the start.

We've had a muntjac in the garden which isn't unusual but this one has been confidently laying in the open watching us moving about at the kitchen window. Usually, they're off as soon as they see movement. Wonder if it was the fawn whose mum brought it in in the summer to drink at the birds' water.

Few hundred whooper swans have found a couple of harvested maize fields to graze on down the road (Suffolk). It must be tasty because they usually avoid fields with nearby trees. Doubt they see many in their Iceland summer home. They'll gather on harvested beet fields later. #swans #migration #birds

What’s particularly impressive here is she could have found this out herself before raising the profile of this issue at PMQs.
