Thought I'd see if EE were cheaper than our O2 deal they are, but only for 5 months of a 2yr contract because they're adding £2.50 in March 26 *and* 27. Ripped off whether you stay or change.

I said yesterday it looked like it was printed on paper but I didn't think it literally was.

Fireworks aren't a problem out in the sticks but our last springer spaniel, Jammy, hated thunder. One day, in desperation, my wife put this Buff snood over his ears and it worked. He sat calmly in the conservatory watching the rain. We called it Jammy's Thunderhood. Might work for fireworks.

We've had a muntjac in the garden which isn't unusual but this one has been confidently laying in the open watching us moving about at the kitchen window. Usually, they're off as soon as they see movement. Wonder if it was the fawn whose mum brought it in in the summer to drink at the birds' water.

It's the time of year to feel sorry for this guy on X, though I see he hasn't posted for a year. Perhaps he's too much of a social liberal to put up with X now.

Has anyone asked Musk to name a village where this has happened? Perhaps Grok can provide an answer.

Our rescue dog, Ollie, was very anti-water when we got him. He'll go through puddles and enter still water now but, like Sophie, he doesn't trust moving water, whether it's a river or waves. He's fine with mud, though.

None of our drove roads, like this one, are shown in yellow on OS in spite of being wider than Bowood Lane and in regular use by farmers, residents, the postie and even articulated lorries and the dustcart.

Few hundred whooper swans have found a couple of harvested maize fields to graze on down the road (Suffolk). It must be tasty because they usually avoid fields with nearby trees. Doubt they see many in their Iceland summer home. They'll gather on harvested beet fields later. #swans #migration #birds

@lizanderson.bsky.social Not a #mudlarking find but I wondered if you or your followers knew what this tiny bottle I found on a molehill might be. Only marking is the number 26 on the base. It has a simple thread moulded round the opening. Base is about 10mm wide.

But Liz Truss thought wildcats weren't "industrious" enough to deserve reintroduction to England. Even when it was pointed out to her that they're nothing like lynx, she left the tweet up.

Wonder why Gmail thinks this order confirmation from Marks and Spencer is in Greek and is offering to translate? It's for jeans, not moussaka.

We used to visit Deal in Kent as kids and English Heritage says it's still in Kent. 😊

If you can't keep your Minions under control, please don't buy them. This 1m tall helium balloon is now in a drainage dyke at the bottom of a steep 2.5m bank. Hopefully, someone can get it out before it harms wildlife or blocks a sluice or culvert and causes flooding. Wish they'd ban these things.

Says another American who's missed the point.
Are you happy with Musk spreading misinformation about the UK in spite of his own AI questioning his expertise?
October 14, 2025 at 3:44 PM
Particularly revealing if you Google the 2024 Tory conference pix for comparison.

When you put it like that I wonder why a knitter working for a smart watch company hasn't already come up with an app to do that. I was thinking of an electronic one of these.

But both its members voted for Corbyn and they've already booked their party conference venue.

But Thunderbird 4 was the yellow submarine one. 🤔

Which search engine are you using? Even Google's AI seems to have got it right.

Would you mind explaining to a non-religious person what US Christians have got to do with a Church of *England* college in Yorkshire? In case you don't know where that is, here's a map with a red marker showing its location relative to the USA.

Let Farage know they have just the thing in Halfords.
September 25, 2025 at 10:17 AM
And even Musk's own AI doesn't believe him when he reposts things claiming that (which Donnie then thinks are the truth).
