The city of Tulsa, home to one of the most horrifying racial-terror massacres in U.S. history and the people who tried to cover it up, has announced a $105 million reparations package.
Tulsa announces reparations for the 1921 ‘Black Wall Street’ massacre
It took decades of research by historians and journalists — and reports by state and federal commissions — to uncover the violence that claimed more than 300 Black lives.

Accepting you’re chronically ill can be hard. It’s natural to fight back, to push your body because you miss your old life.

But acceptance doesn’t mean giving up.

“It means that you make a deal with yourself & your body. To cherish it & treat it more kindly. To not push it past its limits.”
Learning to Let Go - How To Accept Your Chronic Illness
When you're chronically ill - your world turns upside down.Managing your illnesses, staying on top of symptoms and navigating healthcare is exhausting. Learning to Let Go can make things easier.

Nobody starts a digital identity thinking they're going to be hunted, nor with the experience to know how it can break and be tracked. Someone used a slip-up to find my personal username, then a flaw in Minecraft, to find my even older personal email address. They went 3 layers into my obfuscation.
A VPN usually doesn't protect you against even this, because most people's OPSEC is so poor that they don't even need to find your "real IP". Your devices and behavior leaks so much information about you that even private investigators can find you without "backtracing" your VPN. 5/?

The "blanket tariffs are paid by foreign countries" lie may be stupid but I grew up to the tunes of the russian state TV convincing people that sanctions are good for the russian economy (while being furious about all new sanctions), so I don't really get to laugh here

One thing about me, I’m not breaking my back to live up to the standards of someone who, when I observe the circumstances of their life and choices, doesn’t seem to be meeting those very same standards.

If you're wondering why you don't see any women on bikes - take a look at your infrastructure.

Men keep telling me why women in Hamburg, Berlin... don't cycle.
And disregard the fact that not everyone is in the mood for suicidal behaviour :(
Even worse: They laugh - because they are bold and abled.
"Less than a third of London’s cycle trips are taken by women, in stark contrast to some other European cities, where women take more than half of trips."

Eilidh Murray, @londoncycling.bsky.social trustee, writes on women's experiences of cycling in London centreforlondon.org/blog/london-...

“Commander, casualties?”
We Suffer sighed. “Out of the frying pan,” she said, “into another frying pan—falling out of that frying pan—into the underworld, where there is a huge frying pan where the devils dance, and say, ‘Fuck to you.’”
“You always had a way with words,” said Pyrrha.

A few important things about the Texas lawsuit against a New York abortion provider:

1) Ken Paxton appears to be lying about the patient suffering "serious complications" that "required medical intervention."

2) We need to talk about how Paxton found out about this abortion
