After more than a year, I’ve decided that I will no longer be maintaining the copypasta doc; this update is its final version. I also added headings to the doc to make it easier to navigate quickly—on desktop, anyway

It was fun for me, and, I hope, you. Pls never tag me on some bullshit again lmao

Introduction/Key Howdy! Welcome to Jove’s Copypasta Doc, an archive of some of the most quotable skeets of Bluesky’s early history. This list is by no means complete and certainly not perfect, but it...

All the anti-war and anti-occupation protestors were right. All the far leftists were right. All the “woke scolds” and your friend who’s “too woke” were right. They were somehow even more right than they may have realized at the time. But really, it was always obvious they were right.

CBP chief Bovino has confirmed that the officers who executed Alex Pretti in the street yesterday are not only *not on administrative leave,* they have all been reassigned to other jurisdictions and are all on the street today.

This is totally unheard of for any officer-involved shooting

rightwingers see people caring about others in their community and instead of finding that inspiring they think it’s some sort of grand conspiracy because they don’t understand what it means to care for others you don’t personally know

BTW when I say abolish ICE, I mean abolish it entirely and replace it with exactly nothing. Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free. That's it.

Beyond words and beyond rage.

Abolish ICE, and may this administration’s and its supporters’ inevitable descent into Perdition be swift and painful.

Hell is too cold for these people.

And while we're at it if we could somehow see a new generation of Mamdani-esque museum directors who prioritize the art, the staff, visitors & programming over the museum's wealthy board members, then we'll really be cooking🙏
tbh it's going to be a little weird having a mayor who actually cares about the city he's leading

Zohran’s inauguration brimmed w/the energy that NYC is “a shining beacon of possibility” per @jumaane.bsky.social.

Amidst the darkness of authoritarianism, inequality & hate, we have a chance to show what’s possible.

That’s always been our mission as New Yorkers—it was profoundly renewed today.

this is, indeed, a crusade by the people directly running the New York Times to destroy the rights and lives of trans people in this country

they have blood on their hands and they’re proud of it

wrong. living in New York City is about frantically swiping your metrocard as your train arrives, repeatedly getting an error, and in the span of a half second evaluating whether you still have the athleticism to jump a turnstile. if you don’t like that then move to fucking Boston.
the amount of sad you should feel about the retirement of the NYC Metrocard should be like “mildly wistful pre-nostalgia” — more than that, IMO, is kinda silly
