ICE is the antithesis of common sense. The agency's very existence is in defiance of common sense
Minutes ago, the Trump admin revoked the sensitive locations policy that prevented ICE from carrying out enforcement arrests inside churches, hospitals, and schools.

This sucks
This is absolutely terrible news.

With the shifting regulatory climate (i.e., antivax ratfuckery), Moderna has withdrawn their application for their eagerly anticipated COVID-flu combo vaccine. This vaccine offered better protection than getting each shot separately.

It's hard to overstate how stupid every element of the tax bill is. For all its faults, TCJA had some reasonable elements like the bigger standard deduction. This time it's pure slop policy from start to finish.

Commercial crew was a good idea actually, but Boeing turned out to suck and SpaceX has been successful but no longer needs Musk. You can't blame commercial crew for Musk still existing, as Tesla was unrelated and is the source of most of his actual wealth. www.theverge.com/blue-origin/...

It wasn’t just the stale “you go girl” feminism that made this seem so silly.

Ending all tariffs unilaterally and opening the borders enormously (I'd say allowing like ~2% of existing population immigrate a year or more) would be an obvious way for the US to adopt a truly liberal foreign policy.

The only reason I don't use public transit much is because I have literal clinical contamination OCD around germs and dirt etc (working on it!).

What is the excuse of non-neurotic big strong men to not ride the subway?
Sean Duffy: "The truth is, transit across America is dangerous. And these liberals -- liberal mayors -- they want everybody out of cars and into trains but they made the trains unsafe so nobody really wants to ride them ... even big men don't want to ride the subway at those times of night."

If you want to do maximal damage to civilization short of a large nuclear exchange between major powers, ending the Fed and asserting political control over monetary policy on the US may well be it.
Audience member: “What is your opinion on the Federal Reserve and do you have any intentions of doing anything with them?”

Elon Musk: “End the Fed!”

This isn't just a ludicrously insane rant. It's the sort of rant you'd hear from the likes of Hitler or Idi Amin or any dictator who's hellbent on ethnic cleansing, and who views mass death in the process as an acceptable or even attractive outcome.

We defeat this regime, or it butchers millions.
