just had the chopped hot Italian sub from Jersey Mike's. Pretty good! I'd give it a 7.5 out of 10.

Two factors hold it back: they didn't include the better cold cuts from their standard Italian sub (it only has ham, salami, and pepperoni), and the bread doesn't stand up quite well enough.

3) make your movie about how great LA and the people who live there are
the two most surefire ways to get Oscar nominations are:
1) put some bullshit about how wonderful movies are in your movie
2) make some shit about English royalty

the latter is basically a guaranteed best costume design win even though all of those movies look the same

The thing I find most detestable about the GOP is that they have no beliefs aside from the accumulation and exercise of power over those they deem less than them.

An email went out and suddenly every republican hack on the planet is backing down on ICE/CBP, supporting investigations, etc.
January 27, 2026 at 1:26 PM
there's a lot of whining about this but how exactly are the Democrats supposed to magically abolish ICE vs. a GOP trifecta and a GOP-controlled Supreme Court?

Describe in exact detail please.
Dems coalescing around 5 restrictions on ICE, I'm told:

DHS required to cooperate with state probes (big)
CBP stays at border
warrants for arrests
IDs, bodycams
ICE out of churches, schools

"That package unites a lot of Dems," Sen Chris Murphy tells me on the pod:

A Dem Senator’s Harsh Takedown of Trump Hits Home: “Breaking Point”
As Trump scrambles to contain the damage from the latest ICE horrors, Senator Chris Murphy offers a sharp indictment of Trump-ICE lawlessness—and explains how Dems can meet the urgency of the moment.

He spent his entire campaign talking about how he was going to do exactly this, this was *always* the reality of what "Mass Deportations Now" was going to look like and they were holding up those signs at the RNC.

Start believing people when they say who they are.

The Downward Spiral
The Fragile

If we are counting EPs, Broken is between PHM and TDS. Not sure if I prefer the end with PHM or The Fragile.
Tell me your great three album runs
You ever think about how Arcade Fire made three extremely good albums in a row and then fell of a musical cliff?
