Isn't this the same company that said NFTs and web3 were the future of gaming? And that Skull and Bones was a AAAA game?

Ubisoft at this point is like a machine that only spits out wrong answers and bad takes
Ubisoft's CEO has remarked that generative AI is “as big a revolution for our industry as the shift to 3D."

He promised "high-value use cases that bring tangible benefits to our players."

Players of Ubisoft's Anno 117 recently called out an in-game genAI image. The developer said it was a mistake.

Yves Guillemot said Ubisoft is actively working on player-facing generative AI applications, such as NPCs that use AI to respond.

New installment in our investigative series on Brightline Trains, this one by yours truly and Miami Herald reporter Allison Beck.

We spoke to three women who survived train collisions about what it was like, and the scars they carry with them.

Can a person survive being hit by a Brightline train? At least 62 people have so far
“Wounds on your body disappear slowly over time,” one survivor said. “But wounds on the inside? Those you keep.”

Just occured to me that Abiotic Factor seems to be absent from a lot of GOTY shortlists, even indie ones.

Baffling to me as it has not only been an enormous hit, but might be one of the most interesting survival-crafting games ever, especially once you start dimension-hopping.

Oh dang, nice. Hytale - that ambitious Minecraft-like that Riot cancelled - is back in production, independent style. They've been rehiring the team and apparently have up to ten years of funding.

Early access release date coming soon.

Nice to hear some good news, at least.

I, for one, have been waiting for this announcement since I started using the Steam Deck. Imo my time of buying every Sony console is over. It's a PC gaming world now and this is where I'll be investing my time and money
Valve is making a console. The Steam Machine, a sleek box with the guts of a mid-range PC that runs SteamOS, will arrive in early 2026. Prices TBD, but unlike the failed Steam Machine initiative from a decade ago, this is Valve's own device. Big news www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

Spoke to a 62 year old voter today in Miami who said he wants the government to eliminate property taxes (something Florida is considering)

When I asked how his city would then pay for services, he said Trump's tariffs would pay for them. He didn't understand when I said that doesn't make sense
