This insane asshole has been doing nothing but crimes since the day he took office, you're the only branch of government with the power to remove him and you're not even going to try because it might not work? Why are you even there? To feel important and do insider trading?

You should be embarrassed to be a member of congress and issuing anything other than impeachment resolutions. You're in the model UN. They should give you legos and a propeller hat

It's the third "totally" that indicates they really grasp the gravity of this situation.
Press call with Chuck Schumer says he has been talking with his caucus "I've been talking to so many members of my caucus today. Everybody is very, very just totally, totally, totally troubled."

Their messaging is so fucking incoherent. Maduro was an illegitimate leader who lost in 2024, which is why we're replacing him with his VP instead of the person who won in 2024. We did this to stop fentanyl, which is why he's indicted for cocaine.

We're also occupying Venezuela via Zoom call.

The constitutional remedy for a president who commits acts of war without the authorization of Congress is impeachment, removal, and disqualification followed by a a criminal trial.

This is true regardless of what the idiot John Roberts thinks.

Congress now has two options:

1. Remove trump from office

2. Admit they no longer have any power over the president

I got off Twitter pretty soon after Musk started making big changes but it was tough for me and for a time I understood people continuing to post over there. But it’s continued to get worse, the algos have become blatantly skewed and for a while decent people staying has been incomprehensible to me.
so x dot com’s ai generated CSAM and they admitted it may violate US law and … i haven’t seen in anyone in power say much at all or call to stop using the platform

On Jack Smith deposition, now released:

100% obvious why GOP refused to allow this as open testimony, aired live. It's damning.

Testimony from John Dean or Alex ("wiretaps") Butterfield in Watergate days would have 1/10th the impact if just in print.

What Smith says is far more incriminating.

Republicans wouldn't let Jack Smith testify in public. Instead they did it behind closed doors and released a transcript and video on New Year's Eve, hoping few people would notice.
They think it’s smart politics, but I think it’s one more attempt to cover up treason. History will agree with me.
Capitol riot 'does not happen' without Trump, Jack Smith told Congress
Former special counsel Jack Smith told lawmakers that the Jan. 6. riot at the U.S. Capitol “does not happen” without President Donald Trump.

I also think the stress of having EVERY SONG EVER in your pocket makes it hard to enjoy what you're listening to. I miss the days of picking an album and just leaving the house. Often I'd have that album in for weeks...

Artists famously do not like fascists. The two things do not co-exist! The fascists know this and think they can replace human art with AI "art" or whatever, and good luck to them!
This is not hard. Artists are not responsible for ensuring the Kennedy Center remains relevant and successful. The center’s board is responsible for that, in a fiduciary way. All of this energy being directed at artists should be re-directed at the board.

It's quite an experiment to have a government run by the dumbest people on the planet.
Over on Xitter the Attorney General is pointing to a study that only goes through last year to claim she's fixed the fentanyl crisis.

Still mind-blowing that a top admin official was revealed to have taken $50,000 in cash in a paper bag from people looking for government favors, the reaction of the administration was "Whatever losers, this is how it works now" and bigshot news media said "If you say so, we'll forget about it"
Border czar Tom Homan didn't receive a normal background check for his role while his bribery probe was still ongoing:

Justice officials felt sure Homan would not be able to obtain a security clearance based on the evidence gathered. It remains unclear how Homan was eventually granted clearance.

We are months into the mystery of Trump’s hands, the White House is lying, & I’ve seen a grand total of one serious news story about it.
Trump looked pretty rough today -- note that both of his hands are discolored
