I don't understand how the occupation of Minneapolis is not a full-blown, all-hands-on-deck national talking point, as it surely would be if a Democrat were in the White House and federal troops were in a standoff in, I don't know, some random conservative compound in Idaho

Ask yourself: If Donald Trump was intentionally trying to destroy the United States, how could you tell the difference?

Members of Congress should be openly stating right now that military action against Greenland will result in impeachment and removal of the President and the Vice President.

This.
In America you drop your kid off at school, get your brains blown out on the ride home, then the Vice President drops everything for a week to call you a terrorist, to slander your family, to protect the circumstances that led to your death so they can do it again. It is government by Alex Jones.

A Mola Mola enjoys some sun at the surface of Monterey Bay before heading back down to hunt for squid. 🦑

I’ve wondered the same thing.
I am losing my mind

DO ANY OF THESE JOURNALISTS KNOW THAT VENEZUELA IS NOT ON THE PACIFIC

THAT THE CARIBBEAN SEA DOES NOT TOUCH THE PACIFIC

THAT IN FACT THIS IS WHAT THE PANAMA CANAL WAS BUILT FOR

WTF IS THE EASTERN PACIFIC

PLEASE LOOK AT A MAP

Sound UP for the squeak of a two-day old baby sea otter! These little potatoes are almost helpless for months, while mom takes care of their every need. 🦑

i really resent the continued assertion that there’s so much anger on both sides, as if the causes of the anger are equally legitimate. we’re angry because masked maniacs are violently snatching our family and neighbors off the street, and they’re angry because we’re calling them out for it.

If the National Guard is really in D.C. to protect federal
property, they should probably have been at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. two days ago

I hadn’t thought of this. Makes so much sense though.
Trump is now going after Jack Smith.

You know who seems safe from his retribution: Merrick Garland. Because he did JACK SHIT. Trump not being pissed at him is, low key, an indictment of his entire tenure.

More awesome whale photos from my wife! 🦑
Post 2 of 2: This young whale, locally known as Zip, has been through a lot. If you look carefully at the fluke in the third pic, you'll see rake marks from an orca attack. And that's not even how they got their name!🦑

Why are the sea lions panicking? Oh. 🦑

Baby orca mini breach! 🦑

Mola Mola! They come to the surface to warm up and/or attract birds to eat parasites off of them. 🦑

Today we saw a group of Humpbacks aggressively disrupt the hunt of a pod of transient Orcas. The seagulls appeared to be cleaning up floating sea lion bits, so the Humpbacks were probably too late to fully effectuate any altruistic tendencies, but they tried. 🦑

My wife takes excellent whale photos. Check out the cormorant trying to take off as the humpback flies above it. “Swim away… Swim awaaaaaaaay” 🦑
September on the Monterey Bay made a splash with calm seas, active whales and purple-striped jellies. Love spending days on #highspirits learning about the creatures of our amazing sanctuary.🦑

The biggest divide is not between “right” and “left." It’s between democracy and oligarchy. The billionaires who control our economy and democracy seek to divide us. They want us to turn on each other so we don't look up and see that they have all the wealth and power.
The top 10% now hold 67.4% of all the wealth in the US.

The bottom 50% hold 2.5%.

My wife took this video of a boisterous bottlenose dolphin in Monterey Bay, CA. At the very end this lunatic breached parallel to the boat and actually brushed against my wife’s shoulder on the way back down. At that moment, it had to be at 10-12 feet in the air. A super rare encounter! 🦑

Whales are the coolest marine mammal, but sea lions are fun too. It almost looks like the gull in the corner gets a friendly nudge from one. 🦑

Everyone with access to a bookstore or library should (a) read this book and (b) share it with others. Short of that, this video hits the high points.
Here is my best guidance, rendered beautifully by the great John Lithgow. I first published these lessons nearly nine years ago, in late 2016. They open the twenty chapters of "On Tyranny: Twenty Lessons from the Twentieth Century."

ICE is a fascist Gestapo-like secret police force with poorly trained goons that violate our rights & use maximum force to unconstitutionally abduct people.

If you are a California voter be on the lookout for anti Prop 50 mailers like this one. I received one of these and It’s a trick that was created by Charles Munger Jr. and a bunch of others. Munger Jr. has spent $10 Million to defeat Prop 50 aka the Election Rigging Response Act.
Mailers already being sent to California voters against redistricting plan
If you've received mailers urging a "no" vote on California's redistricting response to Texas, you're not alone.
