One of the unexpected things I've learned from my advocacy for trans people is how malignant parts of the State can be, how it can misuse data for positively evil purposes. It's taught me people can't be safe with a digital ID card and so I've signed this. petition.parliament.uk/petitions/73...

It sounds dramatic but it's hard to overstate how much that hit me. I've listened to him for 20 years and have quite literally grown up with that programme in my ears

I wish it was more complicated but: Elon won. Pundits, journalists and political elites uses Twitter to gauge popular discourse and identify stories, which was workable so long as it was moderated. He seized control, completely altered its normal mode, but none of them adapted.
think that realistically I would have always been deeply, deeply worried about the rise of far-right ideas in public discourse but I truly never expected this level of blithe elite complacency, turns out I do feel worried but mostly I feel like I'm going insane, watching them do.......nothing at all
Myself I feel powerless to stop this fascist rise precisely because it feels like all our institutions are just rolling over to it.

Rebuild time though. We’ve got a fair bit of dead weight now and definitely towards the end of the seasons we’ve looked like Liverpool, relying on the same faces and not always having a plan B.
