That result (and the last two weekends really) don’t mean we’ll win the league. But they are big, because they lift some pressure. We are no longer one bad result/unlucky bounce from being second.

Can have no let up, but hopefully that frees us up

Goal given! Reckon there are another 4 to play…
This is going to be close offside…

Bernardo Silva, who could have been booked for a nasty tackle, or booked for dissent, pulls a player down by the neck then boots it away. Man is Teflon

Pedro Neto is hitting similar levels!
I'm not sure I've seen a player have a worse four minutes of football than Bakwa at the start of this half!

That should be red for Delap. Miles off the field, entirely deliberate

Pedro Neto has been City’s best defender in this half. He’s breaking up almost every Chelsea attack on his own
January 4, 2026 at 7:05 PM
Delap has been decent since he’s come on, but Neto is just such an attack killer! Every run, every touch, slows things down

Nothing really against Liverpool (or Liverpool fans) but the constant outpouring of ‘we’re so unlucky/cursed’ this season is mildly amusing.

Coming off the back of one of the all-time heater seasons, which won them the title, and this year they’re still going to comfortably get CL football

OK, that is really very funny. Well done Fulham!

Mumsnet will one day be the textbook example of how anti-trans ideology will sweep if not a majority, then at least a significant minority to fascism, if they engage enough. Terrifying
"Left-leaning mothers of Mumsnet are deserting Labour for Reform" [Times]

I can't stop laughing long enough to come up with something sarcastic to say about this headline.

I know the world is mad, but take a moment to enjoy that from Mali. Down to 10 from the 26th minute. A 97th-minute penalty to equalise - their only shot on target. Win on penalties.

Into the quarters! AFCON remains incredible

The thing this shows is that if you press us hard, you might get some joy…

But you open yourself up too, and if teams start to press us regularly that shuts us more than them in the long term
Was nice to watch a team actually try to play football against us, at least for parts of the game. A rarity.

Martin Ødegaard now has as many assists in the Premier League as Patrick Vieira.

I hate that we had to go the full 90 after being seemingly comfortable *again*.

But after conceding a banger, we gave them nothing. I’m not sure Mikel, or big Gabi, were as worried as I was!

What's that? Junior Kroupie, on a yellow card, just prevented Arsenal from taking a restart.

Chris Kavanagh is the referee.

That is unforgivable from Trossard. Losing the ball there, in this situation, trying to do nothing. We need to take the sting out of this
