The largest federal prison in the nation is Fort Dix, which has a rated capacity of 4,600 people. The largest of these warehouse camps may hold more than twice that number of people.

The federal government hasn't operated a prison camp inside the United States that large since Japanese Internment.

My favorite Super Bowl memory is still when Elon Musk was at the 2023 game in Arizona and panicked about his Eagles tweet getting less engagement than Joe Biden's. He then flew immediately to Twitter's San Francisco office to start emergency meetings to fix the site's algorithm.

AI cloud computing demand is white-hot.

Amazon, Google, and Microsoft each reported hundreds of billions in RPO (remaining performance obligations), that they can’t fulfill yet.

Collectively, the big three cloud providers reported a $1.1 TRILLION backlog of revenue.

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman tried to be a good sport, calling the ads funny, but clearly they struck a nerve. He called the ads “deceptive,” accused Anthropic of “doublespeak,” and said it was an “authoritarian company” that was heading down a “dark path.”

I’m guessing this kind of reporting will now disappear from WaPo. U.S. journalism’s forced fracturing is deadly poison for democracy. We need strong independent news orgs that stand up to corrupt arbitrary power, particularly the wealthy bullies who file lawsuits to intimidate truth-tellers.
