A few years ago there was a terrible Gen Z tweet everyone dunked on about how people should get their car insurance payments back if they don’t use it. Anyway it’s fun to discover this is now the stated position of the GOP

Let's just say I have serious doubts about their ability to build cost-effectively sized reservoirs of pumped hydro storage that float on top of the ocean (and have twin-sized counterparts on the bottom).

This startup wants to build pumped hydro storage in the ocean
Sizable Energy raised $8M to build a demonstration plant that stores energy for long durations by pumping brine between inflatable reservoirs in the sea.

So not only Trump, but also a Senator (with an MD) fundamentally don't understand what insurance is, or have such low regard for their constituents that they lie to them about what it is.
And the kicker is the only correct conclusion for their rhetoric is public health insurance.

IMO, the heat pump water heater credit was the best deal for homeowners in the IRA. Upgrade by the end of the year to qualify for the tax credit.
If you are on gas, operating costs are just slightly lower. You will save loads vs everything else.

The government is giving away $2,000 to homeowners who upgrade their water heaters — but the incentives disappear in under two months
The increased performance translates to lower electric bills.

Not only is gas getting dusted by wind and solar for energy (as in energy value separate from caapcity value), but $29/ton carbon tax is all it would take to put nuclear ahead of gas?
Wood Mackenzie confirms new natural gas generation is expensive!
$126/MWh in 2030!
New solar plus batteries are less than half the cost of new gas!
New nuclear ($139/MWh) also is getting close to being cheaper than new gas!
Gas too is dirty, biggest CO2 electricity polluter. #energysky

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.
If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."
