There aren't enough Americans out on the streets yet to make a difference... Trump, Miller et al are in your face... the only answer is turning around and getting in theirs.

America: belligerence at work. Tighter the squeeze, more is lost.

The USA ... will “lose our democracy and grimly await the eventual blowback that imperialism generates. Blowback is next and with it the collapse of the crumbling edifice of the American Empire."

We are cursed by what the historian Barbara Tuchman calls the “bellicose frivolity of senile empires.”

As a"car nut" i enjoy my ICE vehicle. But4 main stream purposes EVs are a "not as bad" alternate that could help reduce our clinate woes.

Too bad then that Canada, stuck in the down draft of the USA, is shifting away. Our kids will not thank us.

Dramatic policy U-turns put Canada far behind in the global EV race
Canada’s rapidly accelerating EV adoption crashed and burned in 2025 while the world raced ahead. From Norway to Vietnam to Ethiopia, a diverse and growing mix of nations is leaving us in their dust.

Having heard of the reservation cancelations i was just about to praise Hilton, and then this!

Proof yet again that corporations must always be treated with suspicion and that only respond to pain/pleasure inputs...

starving corporations is a good thing. Voting with your dollars works.

Westerners, &perhaps especially American citizens, are lazy. Too lazy to vote, nevermind take real control by joining a political party &pushing for good policies &candidates. Your vote is useless if the party& candidate are already bought& paid for. Sorry folks, you have to work for it.
One of the reasons I hate the "foreign influence" shit I keep seeing from white liberals and leftists alike (Trump is a Russian psyop! Gaza is a Russian scam! Israel controls the US! China controls TikTok!) is that as long as we're all the purported victims of outside actors,

A reminder - before Trump, MAGA, Musk and Fox rewrote history - that this is what the entire country agreed had happened five years ago today:

MAGA is not like cream rising to the top... its basically like pond scum, where's a skimmer when you need one...
Trump and Stephen Miller openly tell us they're building an America that persecutes black and brown people, steals from weak countries and carves up the world with other dictators.
It's the moral low ground. No person who is a real Christian could support it. But plenty of fake Christians do.

Stephen Miller, who wants the U.S. to steal Greenland and shake down Latin America, says: ”We live in a world … that is governed by force, that is governed by power. These are the iron laws of the world since the beginning of time.”
That‘s a criminal pretending that a civilized world is impossible.

Since Putin's word is never straight,

one has to read this as his endorsement of Trump's actions ...

Putin get Ukraine,
Trump gets Venezuela,

and both are happy Chinese influence is challenged.
Irony just fell out of a tenth storey window. #putin

Background music, especially of the elevator kind, is at best only utilitarian.

Listening, whether to what others are saying, or focused directly on music is a skill in short supply.

Witness the shallows of MP3s vs good vinyl...

Listening grows much needed appreciation of subtlety & nuance.

Whether its this or some other sport / event, Trump's stain and stench is all over America... going there willingly, especially for entertainment purposes, is abhorrent acceptance of that kind of pollution.

A reminder that the US killed 80 people in Venezuela, and it would be nice if the US media cared enough to think that the life of a grandmother in Caracas whose building is destroyed by a US bomb matters as much as the life of a person in the US.
