Corruption. In five parts.

– Musk spends $290M to elect Trump and other Republicans

– Trump gives Musk control of the executive branch

– Musk dismantles the agencies that regulate his companies

– Trump does a commercial for a struggling Musk company

– Musk donates another $100M to Trump

If you are a Republican who is thinking “I liked Trump’s first term but I don’t really like what’s going on now.” What you actually liked was all of the people who told Trump “no” in his first term who he doesn’t have with him this time.

So MAGA needs to run down and buy a Tesla to support Musk, but their disabled vet neighbor who just lost his job at the VA is a lazy SOB taking advantage of a bloated government and deserves to be unemployed. They do worship their heroes to the extreme.

"They have borrowed directly from Nazi sources to make the very same points that the Nazis were making. They understand very well that the way to establish a form of government that is not bound by law or reason is to declare a state of emergency."
Beware Trump’s Talk of Coming “Emergencies”
Far-right rhetoric is suffused with dark talk of impending calamities. It’s a favorite trope of autocrats who are, themselves, the calamity.

After Donald Trump nearly ruined the US by mishandling COVID

Joe Biden created an economy that was rightly hailed as the envy of the world

During which he created 17 million jobs-by far the most of any president during one term

And mostly kept unemployment below 4%-an historically low figure

There’s been zero explanation for this given but it seems exceedingly likely it’s pure retaliation for the Maine governor challenging Trump. Really sick.

Social Security now requires Maine parents to visit an agency office to register newborns
The change — immediately criticized by pediatric health advocates — eliminates a program that allowed parents to fill out a form at the hospital to secure a Social Security number for their children.

This is a lie... First of all town halls aren't being held in "arenas" they are being held in churches, schools and community centers. Second, 90% of the time you have to be a resident who lives in the district to register to attend with a valid address.
Mike Johnson: "The problem is they're being ambushed by right now by in many cases paid protesters. You've got George Soros-funded groups. They are very well organized ... the actual constituents of these Republican members can't actually make it into the arenas."

Thank heavens we didn’t elect that lady for president—the one pundits said should run away from Biden’s policies, but didn’t. (Sarcasm)

A lot of people are going to wish they had appreciated this man a lot more in the not-too-distant future.

Under the U.S Constitution, the President is very explicitly not a king. The President's wishes and decrees do not magically become law.
