Cancer is a very stressful disease, not only physically but also psychologically. A meta-analysis now shows that patients who have to endure this stress alone are more likely to die than those who have a supportive social environment.

How Americans’ trust in information from news organizations and social media sites has changed over time
U.S. adults under 30 now trust information from social media almost as much as from national news outlets
Half of 18- to 29-year-olds say they have at least some trust in the information they get from social media sites.

In order to suddenly claim Tylenol leads to autism, we would need better data.……data we do not currently have.

Declaring that tylenol use in pregnant people can lead to autism, with the available evidence we have now, is scientifically irresponsible.

Essentially 100% of patients I see for substance use are on Medicaid (or uninsured & working to get on Medicaid). Most cannot afford their lifesaving medications without coverage & I’ve seen devastating results from coverage lapses in the past. This bill’s new “requirements” are going to kill people

When my daughter went through chemo at two years old, hundreds of thousands of dollars in medical bills stacked up. While we were very fortunate with our insurance coverage, we also realized firsthand what a gamechanger ACA was for pre-existing conditions. So grateful, for her sake. 💛
The ACA was cool because before the ACA EVERY SINGLE CHILD WITH CANCER hit their annual and lifetime limits almost immediately and were denied insurance for the rest of their lives and after the ACA that’s illegal.

Excited to have shared study findings at #SSWR2025! 🌟

While cancer survivors of all ages showed a decrease in financial toxicity (FT) after a financial treatment program, middle-aged cancer survivors FT were still severe. So much more work to be done (and is underway)! #financialtoxicity #oncology
