This was my pinned tweet in the other place. I feel it's appropriate here, given who is being inaugurated tomorrow. Normalizing the covert leads to acceptance of the overt. We can't allow our nation and the world to go back to that.

My relationship is not just theological, it dates back to my family’s existence during the Tulsa Race Massacre. I was taught at an early age, how Jewish people stepped in during the aftermath to do what co-conspirators do. It was their humanity and a sense of kinship as oppressed minorities.

American culture from 1776 on was Black, was Indigenous, was Spanish, was Jewish, was Quaker, was a whole lot of different things which then often got together and made splendidly non-European things, and most of our music has an African mother.
We must speak plainly about the agenda Elon Musk & other MAGA leaders are pushing. It’s white nationalism.

There’s no room for Black, Hispanic/Latino, Asian, Native, Jewish or all other Americans in Musk’s monocultural vision.

Multiculturalism is superior. We can’t allow Musk & others to end it.

No, the SAVE act is more than a mere poll tax.
And from experience, it's never the ending. It's the beginning.
I live in a country, as a dual cit/expat, with voter ID.
It wasn't enough.
There's also an identification sequence a mile long required for all business.

If you haven't been to the Legacy Museum in Montgomery, AL then you need to do so.
Steps outside the Legacy Museum is our memorial honoring victims of racial terror lynchings during Reconstruction (1865-1876). This critical time period is often over looked even though it had a profound impact on life in the U.S.

Jew haters are bigots who blame Jews for any number of things - from immigrants "replacing them" or a war 3000 miles away. Meanwhile those same folks don't give a shit about violence in Iran, Sudan or human rights violations across the globe. Only have eyes for Israel.
I’m not a fan of AIPAC’s agenda, but I’m even less of a fan of saying that a politician is “owned by Israel” or ((((they)))) own Congress because a Cleveland group gave someone money, which is what a lot of people sound like when they start talking about Zionists, the Mossad, and AIPAC donations
@indivisible.org, leftist and progressives say Israel buys American politicians. Here’s the truth, they are stoking your rage and lining their pockets. 🧵

The pronoun labeler, which was by far the most useful labeler on the site, was deleted by its creator. But thanks to @ripperoni.com there’s a new one available. I highly recommend it. It’s a great way to share your pronouns or see someone else’s pronouns at a glance.

Democrats would do well to heed this advice
You’re tempted to focus on the bad customers, making them happy, getting them to stick around, not wanting to lose their (fake) love or their revenue.

But that’s a losing battle, and will make you hate every interaction, because fundamentally it’s not a good fit.

Good thread on business that can also apply to politics.
Your worst customers demand discounts and other special prices. They either aren’t seeing the value, or they’re not building a respectful two-way relationship.

I'm tempted to make a Trevor Penning comp just to trigger LSU fans, even though they are different profiles, because I'm petty like that.
According to NFL Next Gen Stats, Will Campbell surrendered 14 quarterback pressures in the Super Bowl.

That's the most given up by any player in a single game this season.

The only one of those that many of us use exclusively for the NFL is Sunday Ticket, and that's usually because we don't live in the same media market as our hometown team.
Fans are paying hundreds of dollars a month to follow the NFL. Want to save a buck? Tune into your local broadcast station to follow your hometown team.

During Black History Month, I would like to highlight the rich contribution that Middle and Southwest Georgia has made to our country’s history.

Albany is known as the as the cultural hub of southwest Georgia and played a crucial role in our country's history and Civil Rights Movement.

Lukewarm take at this time in the sports calendar: the Olympics, both Summer and Winter, are sports programming for people who don't like sports. Similarly, the Super Bowl is a football broadcast event for people who don't like football.
