Rather than ascribing agency to machines that are built by other humans getting rich off of doing that, we should ascribe the agency to those humans and talk about what they're doing via their companies: stealing data, killing the environment, exploiting labor, and deceiving the public.

Despite the drawdown, ICE is still here. They’re stalking legal observers in our communities, at times doing so with no regard for traffic laws or safety.

ICE is still here in Minnesota.

The only difference in the “drawdown” I am seeing is a shift from the Bovino actions that were done for confrontation and conflict for the cameras to more snatch and grabs that are no less awful, if more dispersed.

Until they are all home.

Until we are all safe.

In the concentration camp universe, this is what's known as a filtration camp. A government preemptively takes a whole class of people to interrogate and detain extrajudicially in order to inflict duress on them while arbitrarily assessing their (supposed) culpability.
This is a truly horrifying memo. It says that the policy of the US government will now be to proactively seek out and arrest likely tens of thousands of refugees who entered legally under Biden and subject them to detention, where they will be interrogated about their status.
