Impeach her. Now. I’m 100% serious. File the articles tonight. She just tried to criminally prosecute sitting members of Congress for obviously protected speech. She’s unfit to hold any office under the Constitution, and must be removed as quickly as possible.

Yes, and Lutnick also essentially testified between the lines that his wife most certainly, and perhaps one or more of his children, have known since he made that "never again" statement that he was flat out lying.
Lutnick had said, "I decided [in 2005] I will never be in a room with that disgusting person ever again. So I was never in the room with him socially, for business, or even philanthropy. If that guy was there, I wasn't going."

He just admitted visiting Epstein's island in 2012:
VAN HOLLEN: Did you in fact make the visit to Epstein's private island?

LUTNICK: I did have lunch w/ him as I was on a boat going across on a family vacation. My wife was with me as were my 4 children and nannies. We had lunch on the island. That's true. For an hour. We left with all of my children

Agreed. Yet another day on which flags across the nation should be, but won't be, lowered to half staff.
@washingtonpost.com will survive in some degraded form. But this is literally the day in which a precious and storied institution, which among its thousands of accomplishments has served an indispensable historic role of holding power to account, was killed.

This thread, from an Eagle Scout who not only knows the oath, but lives it.
I say this with my whole chest as an Eagle Scout:

If Scouting America wants to do its best to do its duty to God and our country, then the Scouts should run screaming from Pete Hegseth’s Department of Defense and this entire gang of Trump’s fascist fuckwits.
Breaking news: The Pentagon issued a warning to Scouting America, formerly known as the Boy Scouts, saying the organization risks losing its long-standing partnership with the U.S. military unless it rapidly implements “core value reforms.”

Well, you could knock me over with a soft breeze. I never thought George Will could be a reason to regret canceling my Washington Post subscription, especially since for years he was one of the reasons I thought about doing it. And yet . . .

Opinion | Assume this loutocracy is lying about ICE until proven otherwise
Kristi Noem isn’t the only reason millions of Americans increasingly distrust the deportation mania.

How many of us would it take to buy the Washington Post a la Green Bay Packers, staff it with actual media managers and journalists and an editorial board that doesn't shill for the rich and powerful? And is that different than just subscribing to The Guardian? Asking in earnest.
If this is true (and that’s not a small if), it is reasonable to posit that Bezos is trying to offload the Post. Or kill it altogether.

Sports is a top driver of traffic and subscriptions for most news sites.

And we’ve seen how Bezos and Lewis have mangled the Opinion section.

ICE isn’t some storied agency like the US Marshals or the Secret Service or the Texas Rangers. Generationally, it’s a Zoomer. It’s not even old enough to rent a car by itself. It’s the brainchild of the same scared, dumb era and men that gave us the Iraq War.

Abolish ICE, prosecute the thugs.

We have been told for nearly 30 years that America needed to tolerate mass shootings because the broad availability of guns would help us defend ourselves from an overreaching federal government. That day has come. The people who said this are supporting the federal agents. Many have joined them.

‪Update: Federal agents murdered ICU nurse Alex Pretti. ‬That’s the name of the legal observer federal agents executed in Minneapolis today. He was a union member.

This is the absolute minimum we should demand from any politician in any party. Anything less is at least tacit support for fascism.
As tens of thousands across America protest the violence that ICE sows with impunity, federal agents shot and killed another person in Minneapolis today.

ICE terrorizes our cities. ICE puts us all in danger. Abolish ICE.

Even after Trump is gone, the world will remember that he threatened to forcibly seize the territory of a peaceful democratic ally, and our institutions failed to immediately remove him. That makes US dangerously unreliable, not just one senile gangster.
His not being impeached by the end of the business day as a result of this threat is as much a problem as the threat itself. It’s not just Trump that the world has to worry about, it’s a GOP that supports him and Democrats who suck their thumbs and refuse to even discuss pushing to remove him

America is now at the heavily armed secret police doing warrantless door-to-door house raids in search of undesirable ethnicities and/or political dissenters stage. The difference from well known historical cases is down to scale.
A video of ICE agents conducting door-to-door searches today in Minneapolis

The homeowner requests a warrant repeatedly, is told they don't require one, then is told they're getting it, then the agents storm in anyway

They also point a taser at her to try and disrupt filming
