These buildings do not have the infrastructure to hold this many people. They are not built for this. From plumbing to HVAC to electrical. This is going to be a humanitarian disaster. One must assume it's intentional. They have no plans for sewage, showers, clean water, or even basic food.

i mean i suppose the counterargument is that many who know programming also have this issue. i think it's more about learning critical thinking, along the lines of the stage magician line here

btw Joseph Weizenbaum's "Computer Power and Human Reason" (you might know it as the ELIZA book) extremely holds up today, i recommend everyone give it a(nother) read.

Discord is already starting to walk things back a little, so people should keep doing what they're doing (cancel Nitro, leave feedback/criticism, direct contact through support tickets/phone/email/etc)

It could be really bad for Discord if Californians contact the office of the Attorney General to report the potential violations of CCPA and CALOPPA citing the recent breach from a few months back where 1.5tb of user data and millions of IDs were leaked, but who can say for sure?
