I went to my local yarn store today and got some gorgeous yarn for a cardigan project and the woman working there asked if I made my sweater (I did!) and told me that my knitting on it was perfect and truly, nothing better. 10/10 encounter. I've won at knitting.

Every four weeks I take Salem to the vet for his arthritis injection and bribe him with churu treats so he doesn't commit a felony.
My favourite part of this experience is taking photos of him being angry but too interested in the churu to do anything about it.

Clearing out my bookshelf because I don't give shelf space to abusers and it feels particularly rough to be tearing out this inscription from a friend given the circumstances.

I have dealt with chronic physical pain, untreated, for over a decade. Last year, after being in a car accident, I was finally prescribed opioid pain relief.
It worked. I was ASTOUNDED. And all I could think was "everyone else just... Exists like this? All the time? Pain free?"

Frankly I don't think this is too much to ask.
All I want for Christmas is a domesticated raccoon that wants to eat lasagna with me & go on quirky adventures. It would also be nice if the raccoon could do magic but I understand that is asking a lot and therefore, it is not required.
