Recently I was talking to a publisher about turning my dissertation into a book and I was told that I need to not delay revisions because “when you have children they’ll take up a lot of your time.” I’m not having children… I wonder if any male academic has been told this before #academicbluesky

Posting late, but the turnout of tens of thousands in London was heartening ✊. Continued mass protests around the world show that we refuse to back down from speaking out against genocide. I was moved by the large Jewish community and their words for peace and their demand: Never Again, for Anybody.

And! Let me know if you fit the criteria (women and classics very broadly!) and I'll add you! #ClassicsBluesky

Currently thinking about ancient witchcraft, spinsters, professional mourners, and economic autonomy of women for a future article. If anyone has any reading recs on the intersection of any these things (especially more modern ethnography), please send my way! 🧙✨
