Sometimes I get a really good quote in.

“Pointing out that AI is prone to giving ICE bad information is missing the entire point of ICE,” EFF’s @evacide told @RollingStone. “They don’t care if the information they have is good.”

ICE's Use of AI Will Lead to Big Mistakes. Maybe That's the Point
Cybersecurity experts say that U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement seems to be indifferent to how their artificial intelligence tools work.

brownies or "blondies". Not quite cake, not quite a cookie, vastly improved served warm and drowned in ice cream and fudge sauce and whipped cream, not bad but not great either.
Guys, I really need to talk about something dumb and meaningless. What's a universally beloved sweet treat that you think is just mid? For me, it's meringue.

My best read on this with no other context is that they probably just did not have their shit together internally to sell a season, more than than that absolutely nobody (including the NSO) had programming on offer. But it definitely would require follow up questions from the source to understand

Trump isn't just suing the IRS. He's waging a war on it.

His regime has...

-Shut down the IRS's Direct File program, a huge gift to the tax prep industry

-Gutted IRS staff, leaving fewer employees to assist taxpayers

-Deprioritized federal tax prosecutions, letting tax cheats off the hook

ICE confirmed that no person at Dilley is a criminal. If an individual has been tested and diagnosed with measles, they should be moved to a facility with the medical capacity for proper treatment and containment.

The Dilley detention center should be shut down immediately. Because of the close-quarter conditions at Dilley, lack of prompt medical response and capacity, and lack of expertise with diseases such as measles, Dilley is not equipped to combat any spread.

i never dreamt that the illicit financial technology designed to avoid scrutiny could be used for *bad* criminal purposes
I’m sorry but what did libertarians think that the anonymous money laundering racism coin that you could only functionally use for illicit activity was doing other than this, exactly

If you're bright enough to get a perfect SAT/ACT score and a 4.0+ GPA, the University of Alabama will give you the OUT OF STATE student a full ride scholarship (incl room and board) guaranteed. A real boon to the bright student low on cash. 28 ACT/1350 SAT, 3.5+ GPA will get you $10K/year merit.
We only want the good immigrants who study hard and don't commit crimes, unless they try to take little Brayleigh's (28 ACT, 1350 SAT) God-given slot at an Ivy away by being smarter, in which case Korematsu didn't go far enough

Love a standing room only movie theater. Just butts to nuts at the AMC
Kayleigh: My mom went to see Melania. She said the theater was packed, it was standing room only. People were cheering through it, they were excited. It was interactive—people interplaying with the film. She said it was just electric.

“Questions are raised”
I’ve said the phrase ‘gee whillakers’ so many times the words have lost all meaning.

He hasn’t been “seeking to raise doubt” he’s been horrendously violating the Constitutional…

Um...sorry for your confusion, but Helen was *not from Troy.* She was Spartan: the daughter of the Aetolian princess Leda, (wife of the Spartan king Tyndareus) and (supposedly) Zeus. Homer says she was taken from her husband Menelaos's house to Troy by the very junior Trojan prince Paris.

I could probably talk at length about how DRM and AI are the same scam, presented as inevitable by the tech industry while being entirely unfit for purpose.

DRM made me very mad when I was a tech editor, but at least it wasn't a plagiarism lie machine that cause people to kill themselves.

It’s like Watergate but far far worse. And far far far far stupider.

Like this leaked two days later. Two freaking days.

I guess the very very very small consolation to the End of the Republic is going to be watching Johnson, Graham et al make excuses for this with a straight face.

It’s like a Supreme Being finds it funny to have every stinking word & phrase ever uttered by them shoved back in their face until they admit that they lied, dissembled & argued in bad faith about everything.
