British politics is heavily influenced by American and Israeli interests. Brexit was also influenced by US and Russian influence. Although we never hear about US interference.

Do people know that Starmer has continued Jeremy Hunt’s numerous corporate tax breaks for companies setting up in any one of the UK’s 86 free zones for 10 years?
Companies are already pushing to extend those tax breaks beyond the deadlines.

I see this postcard posted online a lot with "ca. 1910". Since she has a newspaper in her lap I thought maybe I could get a little more specific, so I went on a research binge and found it. It's a copy of Le Mirror from August, 1915. gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/b...

Yes, to suspire is to utter a deep sigh. It’s all about breath, as are ‘inspire’ (to breathe life into an idea/person), ‘expire’ (breathe out), ‘perspire’ (to breathe through), ‘conspire’ (to breathe together), and ‘spirit’, because the ancients believed the spirit was breathed into the body.
Is that like perspiring? so can you suspire?

THE CAMERAMAN'S REVENGE (1912) is a sex farce about a cheating husband whose affair is filmed and projected by a jealous rival. Meanwhile, his wife is sleeping with an artist, much to his disgust.

And the cast is made up entirely of stop-motion animated dead insects.
