The military has killed US citizens on US soil multiple times since the late 1800s. We just don’t really talk about it so people forget that the government will use the military against its own people to oppress us. Usually it’s dissent/protest/fighting for our rights or labor issues.

There is a clause written into the Constitution forbidding domestic use of the Military, but it puts few constraints on foreign adventures. Too many people in the world have seen that a ship or aircraft bearing a U.S. flag showing up to “protect democracy” means a whole bunch of people will die.
